Thailand Leather Gloves Yellow
Description
History, Quality and Thai Design
It is a pleasure to present this new collection of Thailand Leather Gloves, gloves with a lot of history, being the first model of Boxing Gloves manufactured by Buddha.
It all started in November 1998, on my first trip to Thailand, I met a very small store behind the old Lumpinee Stadium. I was impressed by the quality of the products, the quality of the leather and the wide range of colors. She was an old woman, with character and she did not like to haggle over the price.
I told her about my dream of one day having my own factory in Thailand and being able to make my own brand, and she told me that her dream was to create a small factory for her children, so that they would never be short of work. We quickly connected, and I gave her my word that if one day I set up my own brand, she would be the first person I would talk to. It was a difficult time, I had little money, but I would show up three times a week to visit her. When I arrived I would ask her to lower the price of my gloves so I could buy dinner, and she was so simple but with so much heart that she would send to buy me food and tell me to spend the money in her store.
It was a sincere friendship, she managed to set up her small factory, and now it is run by her children. This edition is dedicated to her, leather gloves, with style, simplicity and high quality.

What weight (ounces) of gloves do I need?
Choosing the right weight for your boxing gloves is key to training safely and improving performance. The ounces (oz) indicate the amount of padding: the higher the number, the more protection, but also the more weight; the lower the number, the faster and lighter. For bag work or paos, 10-12 oz are usually used for speed and comfort, while for sparring 14-16 oz are recommended, as they offer more cushioning and take care of both your hands and your partner.
At Buddha Fight Wear we adapt the padding and ergonomics of each glove according to the ounces, ensuring the ideal balance between protection, comfort and durability. For more information we have written this article: https://www.buddhafightwear.com/blogs/news/como-elegir-unos-guantes-de-boxeo

Frequently Asked Questions
The choice of boxing glove size (ounces, oz) depends mainly on your body weight, your level of experience, and the type of training you’ll be doing (punching bag, focus mitts, or sparring).
- 12-oz gloves are recommended for technical training and work on the heavy bag or with focus mitts.
They are lighter, allow for greater speed and precision, and are commonly used in technical sessions or by smaller fighters.
- 14-oz gloves offer the best balance between protection and comfort.
They are a very versatile option, ideal for general training, combining technical work with some moderate impact.
- 16-ounce gloves are the most recommended for sparring.
They provide greater cushioning, protect both your hands and your partner’s, and are the best choice for larger fighters.
Buddha boxing gloves are designed to provide a high and balanced level of protection, intended for both beginners and athletes who train regularly in disciplines such as boxing, kickboxing, or Muay Thai.
Buddha gloves feature high-density GS-3 foam padding that helps absorb and distribute impact, reducing the risk of knuckle injuries during bag work, pad work, or light sparring. For optimal protection, we recommend wearing boxing wraps under the gloves. This improves the fit, reinforces the wrist area, and adds an extra layer of impact absorption.
With proper use and care (airing them out after each session and keeping them dry), Buddha gloves can maintain their protective properties for longer, retaining their shape and cushioning.
When choosing gloves, the best buy isn't always the most expensive one, but rather the one that offers the best combination of protection, comfort, and durability. In this regard, Buddha gloves stand out as a very well-balanced option within their price range.
Buddha gloves are designed to deliver solid performance at a competitive price, making them an attractive option for both beginners and intermediate-level users who train regularly.
Thanks to their high-density GS-3 foam padding and ergonomic design, they provide good impact absorption, helping to protect the knuckles and reduce strain on the wrists during training.
Another strength is their comfortable and stable fit, especially when used with wraps. This enhances the feeling of security and allows you to train with greater confidence during bag work, mitt drills, or light sparring.
With proper care, Buddha gloves can offer good durability, maintaining their performance over an extended period.
